• Varsity Head Coach: Brian Moser

    Coach Moser is extremely excited to lead Sentinel’s inaugural baseball season.  For the last 18 seasons, Moser has been an Assistant Coach with the “AA” Mavericks.  In 2006, Moser was the Varsity Baseball Head Coach at Desert Pines High School in Las Vegas, NV.  Moser graduated in 2004 from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington, where he played football and baseball. In his senior year at Whitworth, Moser posted a .369 batting average and was voted Whitworth’s Offensive Player of the Year.  Before Whitworth, Moser graduated from Sentinel High School in 2000, where he played football and basketball for the Spartans, and baseball for the Mavericks.  He currently teaches math at Sentinel High School. Brian, his wife Katie, and children Gracie, Molly, and Harris, reside in Missoula.

    JV Head Coach: Kian O'Neil

    Coach O’Neil will be the JV Coach for Sentinel HS this season.  O’Neil comes to us from Butte, MT where he attended Butte High School and played baseball for the Butte Miners.  After high school, O’Neil was a student athlete at Spokane Falls Community College, where he played baseball for two years.  For the last two summers, Coach O’Neil has helped coach the legion team in Butte, as well as helping in the fall with Big Sky Baseball.  Coach O’Neil is currently a student at the University of Montana.  

    Asst Coach: Brendan Brown

    Coach Brown is currently the Director of Special Services at Hellgate Elementary, where he oversees federally funded programs and supervises a diverse team of educators and staff, ensuring quality education and support for students with special needs. His leadership in special education spans teaching, case management, and department chair roles, demonstrating a deep commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments.

    Brown excelled in both basketball and baseball. As a three-year varsity basketball player at Hellgate HS, he earned All-State honors.  In baseball, he played two seasons with the Missoula Mavericks as a pitcher and middle infielder, finishing his senior year with a .411 batting average and a career average of .360.  Continuing his baseball journey at Southwestern Oregon, Brown earned All-Conference honors in 2009. Upon returning to Montana, he took on a role as the head coach of the Bitterroot Bucs for three seasons, leading the team to an outstanding 153-47 record. He then served as the pitching coach for the Missoula Mavericks A’ team for eight years.

    Asst Coach: Dylan Barkley

    This is Coach Barkley’s first season as a baseball coach.  Dylan grew up in Missoula and graduated from Sentinel High School. During high school he pitched for the Missoula Mavericks, winning a state championship as a senior in 2017. He then went on to attend Montana State University-Billings to play baseball. Dylan pitched for five years at MSUB and graduated with honors. He now resides back in Missoula and attends law school at the University of Montana.

    Asst Coach: Case Berish

    Case will be an Assistant Coach for the Spartans. He grew up in Billings, MT and played baseball through high school while attending Billings Senior High. Case graduated from the University of Montana in 2013 with degrees in Management Information Systems and Accounting. He has spent the last few years coaching baseball at different levels.
